Puerto Dolphin OS ("we", "us") is a booking and scheduling platform for boat tour, fishing charter, and outdoor activity businesses. This page explains what information we collect through puertodolphin.com, how we use it, and — in particular — how we use data accessed through your Google Account when you connect Google Calendar.

Information we collect

When a business creates an account, we collect the business name, activity type, owner name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). When a business records a booking, we collect whatever the business enters about its client — name, contact details, trip date, party size, and notes. When a client signs a liability waiver through a booking’s waiver link, we record the signer’s name, optional email, the time of signing, and the IP address the signature was submitted from, as evidence that the waiver was actually signed. We use two cookies: one to keep you logged in, and one to remember your English/Spanish language choice — neither is used for advertising or tracking.

How we use Google user data

If a business chooses to connect Google Calendar from its dashboard, it goes through Google’s own sign-in and consent screen, where Google shows exactly what access is being requested before anything is granted. We request: your Google account email (to show which account is connected), and permission to read and create events on the calendar you choose, so bookings made on Puerto Dolphin OS can appear on that calendar and the dashboard can show upcoming events from it. We do not read, use, or share this data for any other purpose, and we do not sell it. Puerto Dolphin OS’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access tokens are stored only to keep the connection working and are deleted immediately if you click "Disconnect" from your dashboard.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with Google’s Calendar API, and only for the calendar-sync feature described above, for businesses that choose to connect it. Payment and messaging integrations (Stripe, WhatsApp/Twilio) are not yet built; if and when a business connects one, this policy will be updated to describe that data flow before it goes live.

Data retention & deletion

Business, booking, and waiver data is kept for as long as the business’s account is active. To request deletion of your business’s data, or a copy of it, contact us at the address below. Disconnecting Google Calendar from your dashboard immediately deletes the stored access and refresh tokens for that connection.

Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Access to a business’s dashboard, bookings, and connected calendar requires being logged in as that business.

Children's privacy

Puerto Dolphin OS is a business tool for tour operators and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect account information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how Google user data is used, we’ll update this page before the change takes effect.
